Bell's Pottery

c 1850's

The main colour of the plate, which is uncommon, appeals to me as it complements the pink flowers. All the details on the plate make it of special interest.

The registration diamond on the rear of the plate shows that this ‘Anemone’ pattern was registered on the 3rd. February 1855. Bell's Pottery, known as The Glasgow Pottery was one of the most prolific Glasgow potteries, exporting wares all over the world.
