Possil Pottery
c 1920's
My father was born across the road from Possil Pottery and I often heard stories about ‘the pottery’. I grew up in Possil Park so it’s of local interest to me.
Tennent’s brewery took over the pottery after the first world war to make stoneware beer bottles for their Cuban customers. This Tennent’s ashtray was made as an expansion of their bottle production.
