Culture Scouts

The Brief
To bring together a group of local volunteers to work together to research and catalogue 14 boxes of industrial Scottish Pottery donated to MIG as a ‘starter pack’ for the Scottish Pottery Museum (SPM). To install, curate and host an exhibition from chosen pieces of pottery and to visit other cultural venues to inform and develop our planning for the SPM.
What we did
We successfully applied for funding for the Culture Scouts Programme and invited members of the local community to work with us. We created a programme of meetings and events and sought support from the Hunterian Museum and Scottish Community Archives
