Summerston 50

The Brief
We were commissioned in by Summerton Community Environmental Group (SCEG) to help create ways to celebrate Summerston’s 50th Anniversary.
What we did
We worked with SCEG who introduced us to community groups from across Summerston. So far, we have talked and made tiles with local primary and secondary schools, Cubs, Beavers and Scouts and the Girls Brigade to find out more about Summerston’s history and heritage and well as aspirations for the future. We also chatted at Soup and a Blether, celebrated Summerston Loves Easter and Christmas and supported the 50th Anniversary lantern parade. The tiles made from these events will be used to decorate the new community planters which will be installed this spring with colours inspired by the new logo.
What we made (so far)
a new logo for SCEG inspired by school pupils
lanterns for the parade
over 200 community tiles
